This is a training course on the use of ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems — Part 1: Requirements and ISO/IEC 17021-3:2017 Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems — Part 3: Competence requirements for auditing and certification of quality management systems to accredit quality management system certification bodies. Certification bodies provide QMS certification to their clients on the basis of ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems — Requirements.
The course will also cover relevant IAF requirements, including IAF MD 1:2018, IAF MD 2:2017,IAF MD 4:2022, IAF MD 5:2019, IAF MD 7:2010, IAF MD 11:2013, IAF MD 12:2016, IAF MD 13:2020; IAF MD 15: 2014, IAF MD 17:2019, IAF MD 20:2016, IAF MD 23:2018 and IAF MD 25:2022; and relevant references to the Accreditation Assessment Practices Group (AAPG) and the ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group (APG).
The facilitators will provide insights on how this type of accreditation is conducted and participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and ask questions. Attendees are expected to be APAC Member personnel (assessors, managers, accreditation scheme developers) that are either undertaking accreditation of QMS certification, or are considering developing this type of accreditation scheme. It is expected many of the attendees will already be familiar with accreditation of management system certification.
